Reverie: a state of reflection.

The name Reverie reflects a fundamental principle of psychotherapy: the importance of making space to think. While our fast-paced world often demands immediate action and quick solutions, psychodynamic psychotherapy invites a more reflective process. With careful attention, you’ll begin to recognize the patterns, conflicts, and habits that quietly shape your life, often outside of your awareness. What once felt automatic or inevitable can gradually come into focus, creating the possibility for new ways of thinking, feeling, and living.

The approach

What is psychodynamic therapy?

1

Listening beneath
the words

Most of what matters isn't in what you say outright. It's in the pauses, the slips, and the things you mention as if they don't count. We listen for the meaning you haven't found words for yet. Often the most important thing in the room is something you didn't know you were communicating.

2

Following it to
the source

So much of what drives us, our motives, fears, and conclusions, operate beneath our awareness. Change comes when those hidden parts of yourself become visible and known and you come to hear what you’ve been saying all along.

3

The relationship as
the laboratory

The patterns in your life follow you into the therapy room. They show up in how you relate, what you expect, and what you protect. That is one of the most useful things this work offers. The therapeutic space is where these patterns play out in real time, so you can see them as they happen; not just in hindsight.

The right partnership is the catalyst for change.

We’ll help you find a provider who shares your priorities, speaks your language, and understands how to facilitate the growth and transformation you are seeking.

Personality/identity concerns

  • The kind of psychotherapy that I practice involves careful exploration of one's difficulties and how they consistently repeat in a variety of contexts. In my work, I seek to unravel these repetitive experiences so that healthier patterns may develop.
There are powerful moments in this process when something clicks into place. When one begins to understand why they keep ending up in the same painful places, the possibility of another way forward becomes practical and attainable.
I work with clients that appreciate that lasting change is indeed possible, and more accessible than they might have imagined, even though it can take patience and commitment to achieve.

  • My approach is grounded in careful listening as the foundation from which meaningful progress can emerge. I strive to help individuals better understand themselves, their struggles, and the patterns that shape their lives. Together, we make space for new ways of experiencing themselves, connecting with others, and navigating the world around them. Over the past seven years, my clinical experience has spanned private practice, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, and university counseling centers. I pay close attention to what may be difficult to recognize or put into words, remaining curious about what is expressed both intentionally and unintentionally.

  • I aim to provide a space where people can feel deeply heard and supported as they address their inner struggles. My training in attachment, trauma, and psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as my years of experience working with teens and adults informs how I help clients understand and transform the patterns shaping their lives.
My approach aims not only to reduce symptoms in meaningful and lasting ways, but also to help people live more fully by deepening self-understanding, processing difficult emotions, and working through the deeper patterns underlying their distress.
